Surviving In A Fallen World
There are so many saddening things going on in the world today. Everywhere I turn, I am hearing distressing information regarding politics, religion, and racism. There is so much killing going on that people are turning against each other. Countries are being bombed. Flooding and other storms are causing major destruction in different cities. We are living in times where if you say the name, JESUS, you are automatically persecuted. Christianity is being mocked. They have taken prayer out of the schools. Children are turning against their parents. Parents are turning against their children. People are turning to the world and allowing it to become their god. It is simply saddening.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NLT) says, “You should know this, Timothy that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”
Matthew 24:10 -13 (NLT) says, “And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
All of these things have come true and are happening right before our eyes today. So what can you do to survive in a falling world like this? What can I do? We can all keep GOD first in our lives at all times. He should be a priority. We can believe in His Power and never let go of that belief and we must stay prayed up at all times. We must pray over our children, their lives and the lives of others as well. We must rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In both good and bad times, we must hold tightly to faith. We must keep our minds and hearts focused on the right things. We must live our lives looking for Jesus. We survive by looking to Jesus to help us survive. We are unable to help everyone in this world and it may hurt not being able to help; but we can pray for them anytime, anywhere. And if there are some that we can help bring to Jesus, then we should do so with God’s help. In a falling world like this, we must all stay close to the Lord. If we should happen to fall, we have to get back up. We have to because we can’t allow the things in this falling world to consume us.
